Wool is a natural fibre spun from the fleece, fur, or hair of animals. Most often, "wool" refers to fibre spun from sheep fleece. Sheep were one of the earliest animals domesticated for agricultural purposes, so as settlers spread across the globe, so did sheep. As sheep continued to breed in different environments, their wool evolved different properties. Such properties include different texture, durability, and weather resistance.
